An unfractionated heparin alert is in development following an audit conducted in three DHBs The audit identified the most common safety issues associated with the use of unfractionated heparin. The alert was sent out for national consultation in November 2010. Closing Date for comments was December 22nd 2010. The alert will be reviewed taking the consultation feedback into consideration.
